About Us

History

We were part of a professional team of people who designed, developed, manufactured and tested the first transparent fire rated screens in South Africa. Transparent, by implicating glass as see-through material glazed in a steel frame. This was done over period 2012 to 2013. We needed the research & testing of these fire rated screens to enable certification in South Africa.

This type of transparent fire rated screens were unheard of then, unknown to the building & construction industries, and needed introduction within the South African market. These screens were demanded more frequently as they became known to the industry.

Lightwells, double volume enclosures, office enclosures, emergency exit staircase closures, emergency exit doors & shopfronts, and observation windows are just some of the places where they were installed.

We have been manufacturing & supplying these screens to the building & construction industry as well as private developments since 2012. Previously it was just under a different company name.

Fire Schutz Africa was established in 2019!

Fire Schutz Africa is well known in the industry for our knowledge, experience and dedication to design in fire rated screens. Our relationships with FIRELAB, fire engineers and fire consultants is proof of this.

We had many clients since 2012, and continue our services throughout South Africa and Africa. Our total value of installations since 2012 amounts to more than ZAR30M, and continues to grow.

This is proof that our unique transparent fire rated screens have achieved success over the years, and is now a well-established product in the building & construction industries.

Fire Schutz Africa has tested its own transparent fire rated screens successfully.

We are proud to announce that Fire Schutz Africa has the only valid certificate for transparent fire rated screens in South Africa, as tested on South African standards.

We installed windows, doors, shopfronts and facades in many shapes and sizes.
